Something they don't tell you when you apply for a business license is that there will be times when something breaks and an emergency call to the plumber is not in the budget. The not so glamorous truth is that you will be rolling up your sleeves and diving in to fix the problem yourself. Luckily my dad raised me to be a do-it-yourselfer and I know my way around a power tool. After a couple hours of frustrated calls to Steve and Dad and a few busted knuckles we have a working toilet again! I even had enough time to start hanging the brackets for the glass shelving units I got last week. There is joy in hard work and the truth is if you are not willing to put in the sweat equity, starting a business may not be a good idea.
